Delete your account

You can delete your Playback18 account (operated by Takashi Miyamoto) and the associated data in either of the following ways.

1. From the app (recommended)

Open the Playback18 app and go to the Settings tab
Tap "Delete account" at the bottom
Review what will be deleted and tick the three confirmation checkboxes
Tap "Schedule deletion" and verify your identity by signing in again with the Google or Apple account you used

You can request account deletion without reinstalling the app.

Contact us via the contact form saying you want your account deleted
To verify your identity, we will send a confirmation email to the address registered on your account. Your reply completes the request

Deletion is scheduled (for web requests, after identity verification). You will receive a confirmation email
A 7-day grace period protects your data from accidental or impersonated requests. Signing in to the app during this period cancels the deletion
After the grace period, deletion runs automatically and we email you when it completes. Any remaining data is fully erased within 14 days of execution

Videos already saved on your device (gallery, in-app downloads) are not deleted — you can remove them on your device
Purchase history on the store you bought from (Google Play / App Store) is held by that store and cannot be deleted by us
Deleting your account does NOT cancel your subscription. Cancel it separately in the store you bought from (Google Play subscriptions, or on iPhone: Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions)
As required by law, we retain billing transaction records (7 years after deletion), a deletion audit record (3 years), and an irreversibly transformed identifier for fraud prevention. See the privacy policy for details
